Using the MARSH fountain brush

The MARSH fountain brush is designed for marking highly absorbent, uneven and textured surfaces.

For example, it's ideal for marking rough-sawn wood and end grain surfaces. Filled with oil or cleaner, it's also ideal for maintaining and cleaning machine parts and bicycles.

Always fill the MARSH fountain brush with MARSH K ink when marking. This ensures that the bristles don't stick together and that you can work with this device for a long time.

After vigorously shaking the ink, unscrew the end cap and pour approximately 80 ml of ink into the aluminum reservoir, which also serves as a handle. Close the cap tightly, then hold the brush head down and press the pressure valve a few times to force the ink into the brush head. Then wipe the brush on a piece of cardboard and check if the brush head is sufficiently saturated with ink.

Now you can mark. Please don't press too hard, as this can easily cause ink to seep behind the stencil, resulting in less clean and sharp markings. When the ink saturates, press the valve a few more times. At the end of your work, or during longer breaks, place the protective cap over the brush head. This keeps the brush fresh and ready for use again after just a few pumps.
