What stencils are there?
Stencils are frequently used in industry for large-area marking. They allow for simple, quick, and cost-effective marking of, for example, export packaging, crates, cartons, sacks, big bags, barrels, cases, and components using special marking inks or marking spray.
Depending on the application and surface, logo and text stencils, alphabet and number sets, pictograms, and warning signs are available in various materials. Stencils are available in plastic, zinc sheet, and oil-based cardboard.
Stencils are suitable for paint markings that can be sprayed, rolled on, or brushed on. The recesses in the stencil create the desired marking.
Oilboard stencils
Oilboard stencils are produced to order or independently using a plotter, automatic stencil machine or hand stencil machine. They produce a clear print, are durable, and inexpensive. The flexibility of the material allows the stencils to be applied to both flat and round surfaces.
Available in thickness 0.25 mm.
Kraft paper stencils
Kraft paper stencils are largely similar to oil-based cardboard stencils. However, the material is not impregnated with oil, which allows for slightly more frequent use.
Available in thickness 0.25 mm.
Zinc sheet stencils
Zinc sheet stencils are particularly robust, durable and solvent-resistant and are suitable for constantly recurring, large-area markings on flat surfaces.
Available in thickness 0.3 mm / 0.5 mm / 0.8 mm
Plastic stencils
Plastic stencils They are made of PVC film and can be reused multiple times. They are more robust than oil-based cardboard stencils, but not as durable as zinc sheet. They are suitable for flat and round surfaces. With an Elried plotter, they can also be created in-house (for material thicknesses of 0.25 mm).
Available in thickness 0.25 mm / 0.5 mm / 0.8 mm
